Survey on estuaries in New South Wales *Closed*

Survey on Community Values, Perceptions and Recreational Use of Estuaries in New South Wales:

Participants took a moment to complete this survey on the Hunter Estuary:
The survey asked questions about your nearest estuary, including how you value and use the estuary, what you think about the health of the estuary, as well as threats to the estuary. Participants were able to enter a draw to win a $100 Coles voucher. The aim of this research is to increase understanding of how we value, use, and relate to estuaries.

Information gathered in this survey would have helped estuary managers, planners, and other decision makers to better understand human use and connections with estuaries, which are not always recognised and considered in decision making processes. It would provide valuable insights into the social and cultural context of estuaries.

The survey closed on 30 September 2016.
